As a way to celebrate five years AnthroDish podcast, I’ve been transcribing some of the show’s most loved episodes for paid subscribers. This month’s AnthroDish Transcript is with Dr. Jillian Lampert, who is the Chief Strategy Officer of the Emily Program, a US-based program that is recognized for its compassionate and personalized approach to eating disorder awareness, treatment, and lifetime recovery.
This episode first aired on April 9, 2019 (please note the super cool graphics I used to make… heh). I chose to transcribe this specific episode for December as it is one of my holiday traditions to take a critical look at diet culture and all its traps ahead of the holiday season. It’s important for me that we continue these discussions year-round, but the extended family dinner tables this time of year can be potentially more potent areas where diet talk explodes. Experts like Dr. Lampert always give me more motivation to tackle these topics with friends and family as well.
The following is an abridged transcript of the show, lightly edited for clarity. If you want to listen instead, you can check out the audio link below, or on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
